  1. Great conversation, gentlemen. I especially liked Forrest’s advice to those who call the media fake: If you think the news you’re consuming is fake, try changing the news channel that you watch, the radio station you listen to, or the newspaper that you read. Unfortunately I don’t think most people know how to check the sources of what pops up on their newsfeeds.

  2. Hey Forrest—your grumpy “old person” Aunt here—first time listener and enjoyed the discussion. Thank you for noting the long long history of “news” being slanted to support a partisan narrative. Fox did not originate anything other commercially recognizing a niche media market and exploiting it. Same business plan as any other news network. Hope your college journalism students have a broad enough historical perspective to appreciate ” Bogus as Hell” ain’t nothing new. Let’s not give all the credit to Trump.
